Welcome To The Party Denise
To celebrate our 6 month Anniversary we were delighted to welcome one of our favourite star mums, Denise Van Outen to our stand at Mums Show Live!
Denise popped along to Ally Pally after her show on Magic FM to join in the fun with a cheeky glass of champagne and a piece of birthday cake .
After showcasing her dance floor credentials on last year's Strictly Come Dancing, Denise surprised a few lucky visitors with an impromptu dance lesson.
However, there was no glitterball trophy to be won, but we did have 4 micro scooters to give away in our coloring competition and Denise was kind enough to pick the lucky winners.
Denise’s visit marked another landmark, in our short history as she was introduced as the newest member of the Mumazine Family! We are delighted to welcome her as part of our growing family. So you can look forward to seeing lots of interviews and features in the coming months from the lovely Denise.

It was a different story on Denise's 36th birthday when Betsy was just days old and she experienced her first mummy meltdown…
It was on my birthday on 27th May that I experienced my first ‘mummy meltdown’. We’d had so much going on up until that point with a constant string of visitors, David Walliams’ wedding plus the building work outside the flat to contend with that I guess all the stress and tension had built up without me realising. I had planned a small girly get together in the evening at a restaurant on the high street as I thought it would be good for me to get out and have some time away from Betsy and had asked my mum to babysit. But my day was a nightmare and Betsy cried continually. In the morning I had a call from my agent asking whether I had learnt the three songs she had sent over to me in preparation for my audition for the role of Princess Fiona in the new West End musical Shrek. The American producers were flying into London for the auditions and had specifically requested to see me. It would have been a fantastic role to get but I didn’t have any time to listen to the songs let alone learn the words off by heart……..
At 2 o’clock I found myself completely exhausted sat on my unmade bed with Betsy still crying in my arms, and out of nowhere I felt a wave of emotion flood over me and I burst into tears. Once the floodgates were open that was it and I cried continually for three hours. My phone rang and beeped with ‘happy birthday’ messages but I didn’t move, I just sat crying. When I finally stopped my eyes were so red and swollen I could hardly recognise myself when I looked in the mirror.
